A northern New Mexican for 30 years, Dr. Andy Cameron has practiced large and small animal veterinary medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico for over 20 years.

Though some would say that a mixed practice veterinarian is antiquated and can’t keep up with the developments in the fields of practice on multiple species, Dr. Cameron thrives on the variety and learns from one patient what he can apply to another, benefiting his patients and clients daily, regardless of their specific differences.

Dr. Cameron has always been a jack of all trades. Growing up in the border town of El Paso, TX, a proud graduate of El Paso High School he received degrees in architectural design and music from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass. and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Dr. Cameron has built a practice dedicated to the care of animals, for the benefit of them and their human companions, where animals big and small can receive the benefits of cutting edge medicine, including X-rays and ultrasound exams, rapidly available lab tests, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, medicine, dental care and hands-on attentive care. The depth and breadth and experience of the practice are hardly available nearby.

When not practicing medicine at the facilities he has designed and built for large and small animals outside of Santa Fe, NM, Dr. Cameron has performed with his fiddle on stages and in jams with classical orchestras and country, old-time, Celtic & bluegrass bands across the United States.

He explores the Rocky Mountains and Chihuahuan Desert on foot and on horseback in service with New Mexico Mounted Search and Rescue. He has caredfor the animal competitors of the Rodeo de Santa Fe since 2004 and the animal educators of the Navajo Nation Zoo in Window Rock, Arizona since 2009.

Equally at home sinking a 16 penny nail or a 16 mm cortical bone screw, interpreting an echcardiocraphic study or set of GPS coordinates, a sonata or a schottische, Dr Cameron is proud to have made his practice and home in the high desert of northern New Mexico.

Dr. Allison OtisOur Team

Hello, I am Allison Otis for those who don t know me. I have been practicing at Cameron Veterinary Clinic since graduating from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. My special interests are in small and large animal reproduction and internal medicine. Cameron Veterinary Clinic remains diverse and is always seeking to provide the highest quality of medicine, which brought me to this clinic.

My husband, Patrick and I have two beautiful twins, Abigail and Wyatt, and now the addition of Samantha. Our children bring us joy while keeping us on our toes. When not working or running around with the kids my hobbies include baking, gardening, horseback riding and exercise. The family has a growing beef herd and a sheep flock; that will one day be part of the kids’ 4-H projects.

I look forward to continuing to care for the animals in Eldorado, Santa Fe and the surrounding area for years to come.
